(p.1)　　译文：然后把你的得分加起来，看看你得了多少分。【用法归纳】add up 主要有两个意思：　　(1) 加起来。如：　　You haven’t added the figures up right. 这些数字你没有加对。　　The waiteradded up the food check. 侍者把饭菜的钱算了一下。　　(2) 有意义，有道理(主要用于口语中，且主要用于否定句)。如：　　His excuse just doesn’t add up. 他的借口完全站不住脚。　　What he said doesn’t add up. 他说的话自相矛盾。　　【有关归纳】　　另外，还有以下相关短语和搭配值得注意：　　(1) add in 包括。如：　　Don’t forget to add me in. 别忘了把我也算上。　　Would youadd in these items, please? 请你把这些条款包括进去好吗？　　(2) add to 增加。如：　　Thisadds to our difficulties. 这增加了我们的困难。　　It adds to my pleasure to see you here today. 今天在这里见到你我格外高兴。　　(3) add up to　　① 加起来等于，总计。如：　　The figuresadd up to 500. 这些数字加起来等于500。　　The costs added up to 1 000 dollars. 费用总计为1 000美元。　　The various costs add up to 220 yuan. 几项开支加起来总数达220元。　　② 总起来看说明了。如：　　Your long answer just adds up to a refusal. 你的冗长回答简直等于拒绝。　　The evidence all adds up to a case of murder. 所有证据都说明这是一起谋杀案。　　I don’t think these facts add up to anything. 我看不明白这些事实能说明什么问题。　　(4) add(ed) to that [this] 而且，另外。如：　　Added to this，she had a wonderful ability to describe things. 除此之外，她还擅长于描绘事物。　　【附注】类似“3+4＝7”这样的算式，可用以下包含add的英语句子表达：　　Three added to four makes seven. 　　Three and four add up to seven. 　　If you add three to four, you get seven.　　4. not…until…是什么意思？使用时应注意些什么？【教材原句】　　You want to see a very interesting film with your friend, but your friend can’t go until he / she finishes cleaning his / her bicycle. (p.1)译文：你想同你的朋友去看一场很在趣的电影，但是你的朋友要等他（她）擦完自行车以后才能同你去。【用法说明】　　not…until…是英语中的固定句式，其意为“直到……才……”。如：　　Don’t leavetill I come. 我来了你再离开。　　He didn’t come until yesterday. 直到昨天他才来。　　He didn’t go to bed until his wife came back. 直到他妻子回来他才睡觉。　　I didn’t manage to do it until you had explained how. 直到你给我解释了理由，我才会做。　　【几点注意】　　(1) 该结构中的主句动词通常是终止性动词，若为延续性动词，则可能导致含义有变化。如：　　I won’t stay here till [until] Monday. 我在这儿待不到星期一(即不到星期一就走)。　　He didn’t wait until I returned. 他没等到我回来(即没等我回来他就走了)。　　(2) 它用于it is (was)…that…这类强调句型时，其基本结构是：It is (was) not until…that… 直到……才……。如：　　It was not untilyesterday that I noticed it. 直到昨天我才注意到此事。　　It was not until I got to the station that I missed my wallet. 直到车站我才发觉钱包不见了。　　It was not until she took off her dark glasses that I realized she was a famous film star. 直到她取下墨镜，我才意识到她是一位著名影星。　　It was not until I met you that I knew real happiness. 直到我遇到你以后，我才真正体会到幸福。　　(3) 若将not until置于句首，其后的句子或主句则要用倒装句式。如：　　Not until the rain stopped did he leave the room. 雨停了之后他才离开这房间。　　Not until that evening was she able to recover her self-control. 一直到那天晚上，她才恢复了自我控制的能力。　　Not until I began to work did I realize how much time I had wasted. 直到我参加工作，我才意识到我曾浪费了多少时间。　　Not untilhe received her letter did he fully understand the depth of her feelings. 他直到收到她的信之后才充分理解她的感情有多深。　　 说明:引用此文请注明出处,并请保留该文章链接地址,谢谢~~
