(p.1)译文：你会不管上课铃已响，找个安静地方，使朋友平静下来。【知识复习】　　根据英语语法，当形容词修饰复合不定代词时，该形容词习惯上要后置（即放在所修饰的复合不定代词之后）。如：　　This isn’t anything important. 这并不是什么重要的东西。　　There’s nothing wrong with the machine. 机器没有毛病。　　Anyone intelligent can do it. 任何有脑子的人都能做这事。　　There seems to be something wrong with me. 我似乎有点不对劲。　　Were you looking for anything special? 你是不是在专门找什么东西呀? 　　Did you meet anybody exciting on your travels? 在你旅行中，遇到过什么人，使你感到激动吗?　　【用法延伸】　　与以上情形类似，有些与复合不定代词构词相似的副词也具有以上搭配习惯。比如修饰somewhere, anywhere 的形容词也习惯上置于其后。如：　　Let’s gosomewhere nice for dinner. 咱们找个好地方吃饭吧。　　We’re going anywhere very exciting. 我们打算去有刺激性的地方。　　注：somewhere quiet 的意思是“某个安静的地方”。　　　　16. calm down 及物还是不及物？　　【教材原句】You will ignore the bell and go somewhere quiet to calm your friend down.
